The light is fleeting, dimming away
My eyes flutter shut, closed
The very force of my life, in decay
I feel myself slipping, a feeling arose
As soon as the lids, of my eyes shut
A light shines upon my face
I glimpse at it, wondering of my luck
For what was this, i lift my eyes in case
I step across the smooth black plate
That serves as a ground, ground of my mind
Calling, crying, searching for any mate
A small glimpse, one of a kind
The light steps closer, yearning for my understanding
I watch, curious but weary
She steps more close, not so demanding
I am yet curious, so, so very
A thousand lives all in time
Mine, mind, they all belong to me, i am one
An endless screech, soundless, like a mime
The very distant, distant but close now, the sun
Understanding, understanding, I am only one small
In a wide world full of stories
Back, i’ve returned, lids fly open, something calls
Burst from the water, not the slightest of worries
