I’ve been broken before,
but I have recovered every time and will not stay shattered any more.
I can always create a sharper being from the ash and start a new fire,
for my mother once told me I could be anything or anyone I desire.
I follow my path that I carve with my struggles and bare hands,
for it is my actions that lead me to my success and where it stands.
I never thought I would make it this far,
to seventh grade here writing a complex poem, it is bizarre.
People ask me why I react when I go through pain,
and I say, “Why do people get upset, why do humans have emotions that are not plain?
We are all meant to feel the hardship, it just matters how we express it and when we start healing.
Just because we have felt it before does not mean we are immune to the feeling.”
Being hurt is not just experiencing pain,
it is also a chance to learn and grow, since every tragedy in some way is a gift like the rain.
