Ah yes the thing all students look forward to is Spring break! And I’m one of those students so I’ll be telling you how mine was.
I was at the Sea Side resort for a week and on the first day there were fireworks! I saw them. They were very pretty blue white , red and green and I think a few were purple too! After the event we went back to our room and when we got there we all agreed that we should go take a chill pill. So we took a chill pill for an hour then we decided to go to the hot tub but Allison said “ I would rather stay in the room.” So I went down and the second I dipped my foot in I felt a lot of relief. It was magical so I sat in that thing for an entire hour. It was very nice and relaxing. After that we went to a restaurant and I ordered a cheeseburger and a side of curly fries. After about a twenty minute wait the burger came in but when I tried it it kinda sucked. But the fries were good and that’s what matters. After that we went back to the room and I went to bed. The next morning I went down the hall and I brought my wallet. I knew I had more than 100$ so I bought a pack of watermelon Sour Patch Kids and a Coke. Then I brought back both snacks to the room and I put the Coke in the fridge and I put the watermelon Sour Patch Kids In the snack bin. Next I got out a pack of classic Lays and ate all the chips. After I did that we went to the arcade! I decided to play a game of Space Invaders and believe it or not I got nothing out of it even though I won! Next I went to the monopoly game and gave the dice a good roll and I got the monopoly bonus which is 700 tickets, not bad! Then I played the Wizard Of Oz coin dropper game. I played that thing for about an hour and I ended up winning 3 cards, 14 green coins, 6 red coins and 3 gold coins. cards are worth 15 tickets but if you collect all seven they are worth 3,000 tickets! Green coins are worth 5 tickets, red coins are worth 20 tickets and gold coins are worth 30! I ended up going to the bumper car area and I paid the guy at the stand and I bashed some kids. I might even have gotten one of them a bruise, whoops! Then Allison dared me to go on the Tilt-A-Whirl which I agreed because I was sure it was fine but no I was not fine at all!
Basically how this thing works is you go around in circles and the cage you’re in gets spinned at like 40 mph. But I did not know that so I went on thinking oh yeah this is gonna be fun! It was not fun. I nearly lost my wallet on that thing and I am still surprised that I’m alive after that experience. I was traumatized and I still am. After that I said to Allison, “can we go somewhere else? I’m not feeling so great.” so we went to the room and we watched tv. The show we watched was called MythBusters and they were seeing how much friction is needed for jeans to catch on fire? It was interesting after that I said “wanna go to the beach?” And Allison said “Sure I wanted to put sand in this jar anyway.” So we went to the beach and nothing much happened. I brought my metal detector and Allison did what she did I guess. After that She said “let’s go back to the room so we can chill out.” I agreed and we went to the room and went to bed. The next day I got up and I woke up mom and Allison and I said “Hey let’s go to pig and pancake!” So we went to Pig And Pancake. I got a homemade waffle and 2 sand dollar pancakes. Then mom said “Let’s go to Cannon Beach.” I agreed and we all went to Cannon Beach and I got a wooden sword called the Crusader which looked awesome! We all got crepes. Crepes are these things that have like hot nutella inside of like a squishy bread thing. I got the one called The Goonie. The Goonie has nutella marshmallow hersheys and graham crackers. Then we went to a spice shop where Mom got some spices. Then we went to Bruce’s candy shop and I got a lot of candy! After that we went to lunch at the McDonalds where I got a ten piece nuggets with a Cheese burger. After we had lunch we went to the room and had dinner a few hours later after dinner we went to bed. The next morning We packed up and left the Resort and got in the car and we drove past a car crash then we went to apple jacks and 2 hours after a long drive of reading, playing video games and car crashes we got home! We parked the car and we entered the house and said hello to our dog and dad who had a surgery. And that was my vacation! –Nolan
